An industry pack helps the Harness use the right Australian terms, follow the usual workflow and know when to stop and hand the question to a professional. It sits beside the source documents installed on your appliance; it does not replace them.

A pack is working guidance, not a mystery database.
It is a versioned set of skills for one kind of office: terminology, repeatable procedures, templates, escalation points and the primary sources checked while it was written.

Each one is Australian in scope, with NSW-specific material where the state changes the answer. Today that covers legal work.
Legal and conveyancing
Matter intake, costs disclosure, client identification, correspondence, file notes, contracts for sale, purchaser and vendor workflows, electronic conveyancing, trust money and settlement checks.
Built for drafting and file work. Legal advice and the signed work stay with the solicitor or conveyancer.
Accounting and tax
Engagements, client queries, GST and BAS review, payroll and super, practice records, compliance calendars, privacy and TFNs, safe-harbour evidence and escalation to the registered agent.
Built to organise work and evidence. Tax positions and regulated services stay with the authorised person.
Health and safety
SafeWork duties, risk assessments and method statements, site inductions, incident and near-miss records, reportable incident thresholds, contractor and plant checks, and the paperwork a regulator asks to see.
Built to help you keep the record straight. It does not sign off a site or replace a competent person.
Employment
Contracts and letters of offer, awards and classifications, working time and rosters, statutory leave, performance and misconduct records, dismissal procedure and the evidence trail behind each step.
Built for drafting and record keeping. The decision, and the advice behind it, stays with you and your adviser.
Medical and allied health
Clinical notes and documents, referrals, recalls and results, health privacy and records, consent, complaints, practitioner registration duties, NDIS provider duties, participant documentation and reportable incidents.
Built to help with administration and documentation. Treatment and clinical decisions stay with the practitioner.
Property and planning
Planning procedure, building and development rules, leasehold obligations, agency agreements, advertising and disclosure, tenancy start and end, property management, trust money, underquoting and NCAT preparation.
Built for office workflow and drafting. It does not decide a dispute or replace current regulator guidance.
The pack and the source library do different jobs.
Keeping them separate makes it clearer what the assistant knows from a working instruction and what it can prove from a document on the appliance.
The pack guides the work
It tells the Harness which skill applies, which questions to ask, which template to use and when the answer needs a human handover. The relevant skill can load automatically in the conversation.
The installed source supports the answer
Public sources, licensed material and your own approved documents are all indexed on the appliance. Every answer carries clickable passage citations, and your own material is ranked ahead of general material when it is the better source.
A citation should resolve to a real passage and retrieval time. If the Harness cannot retrieve the passage, it should leave the citation out rather than approximate it.
What this changes in day-to-day work.
The benefit is not that the assistant sounds more impressive. It is that it starts from the right file shape and knows which parts of the answer need checking.
Ask the next useful question
A referral, engagement, tenancy or BAS job arrives. The pack helps identify what is missing before a draft begins.
Use the office's terms
The draft uses the language staff recognise instead of mixing American and Australian terms or collapsing distinct documents into one name.
Stop at the professional line
The pack includes escalation points for clinical judgement, legal advice, regulated tax work and other decisions the assistant should not make.
Show the passage
Where the answer comes from an installed document, staff can open the cited passage and check what it actually says.
Use your own material too
Your precedents, procedures and approved source files can sit beside the pack. The shared industry layer does not overwrite your office layer.
Keep dates visible
Rules and regulator guidance move. The installed pack and source set need a version and review date, not a vague promise that they are always current.

That distinction is part of the product, not a disclaimer pasted on afterwards.
What a pack changes day to day
The Harness can find a source, explain it, prepare a draft and point out missing information. It cannot know every fact, exercise a professional duty or guarantee that a rule applies to the matter in front of you.
The person responsible for the work checks the current source, applies it to the facts and approves what leaves the office. Legal, clinical, tax, financial and compliance decisions stay with the appropriately qualified person.
If an installed pack disagrees with current legislation, a regulator, professional advice or the terms accepted for the matter, use the current authority and tell us so the source set can be reviewed.
Updates are deliberate.

A knowledge pack changes through a recorded, dated update, never silently overnight. Months later you can still see which version of a pack answered a given question.
The shared industry layer
The pack covers the terms, routines and source framework common to that field. It is versioned and reviewed as a shared product component.
Your office layer
Your precedents, matter numbering, report format and software connections are specific to you. That work is scoped separately on the custom work page.
Questions about industry packs
Which industry packs exist now?
Six packs ship with the product: Legal and conveyancing, Accounting and tax, Health and safety, Employment, Medical and allied health, and Property and planning. Real estate sales and property management sit inside the property and planning pack.
We do not describe trades, building, aged care or another industry as a finished pack unless it has been built and verified.
Does a pack include the source documents?
A pack contains structured working guidance, templates, escalation rules and references to the primary sources checked. The document library is separate: the public, licensed or customer-supplied source material actually installed on the appliance.
When an answer relies on an installed document, its citation should open the real passage. If the passage cannot be retrieved, the Harness is meant to drop the citation rather than invent one.
Does a pack give legal, clinical or tax advice?
No. It is reference and drafting support for the people doing the work. It does not decide a client's legal position, make a clinical judgement, lodge a tax position or certify compliance.
The responsible professional checks the source, applies it to the facts and signs the work. If the pack conflicts with a current regulator, legislation, professional adviser or accepted engagement term, the current authority wins.
How are packs updated?
The installed version and source date should be recorded with the appliance. A later source refresh is reviewed and applied as an agreed update rather than changing itself silently.
Harness and pack updates require a temporary connection while they are applied. If a current question needs live web research, that is a separate connected feature and is labelled as such.
Where the packs live
You choose the law it answers under.
Jurisdiction, the packs that are switched on and the version of each one are all set in the Harness and recorded. Change them and every answer that follows uses the new setting.
The Harness tells you which pack it consulted and how many sources sat behind the answer, so a person can check the reasoning before it goes to a client.
