LocallyAI

About LocallyAI

We build it. We install it.
We answer the phone.

There are two of us. We build the Harness, fit it to a machine that sits in your office, and help your team use it for the work that should never be casually pasted into a public chatbot.

Why we built it

Local AI should be useful, not mysterious.

A local model is only one part of the job. Staff still need a clear place to ask questions, add files, check sources, manage private work and know when a feature uses the internet.

That is why we build the Harness as well as supply the machine. We work on the product, the installation and the handover as one system.

We build the whole system: the appliance that sits in your office, the Harness that runs on it, the industry knowledge behind its answers and the integrations that connect it to the software you already pay for. One supplier, one number to ring, one system that is yours.

What we do

Build it, fit it, explain it.

The machine

We help choose and configure a Mac, Windows or Linux machine that suits the intended models and workload. The recommendation, limits and network setup belong in the written scope.

The Harness

We build the browser workspace for chat, documents, tools, research, meetings and administration. Ours from the first line — not a modified copy of someone else’s. Because we build it, a change your office needs does not wait on someone else’s roadmap.

The setup

We configure accounts, permissions, models, local HTTPS access and approved connections, then run acceptance checks. Support and update arrangements are scoped in the quote.

What we are not taking over

We look after the LocallyAI appliance and the Harness under the agreed support terms. We are not replacing the office's general IT provider, records policy, professional review or security governance.

A local system reduces some cloud exposure. It does not remove ordinary duties around accounts, physical access, backups, retention and checking important work.

What happens next

A straight conversation, then a written scope.

1. Tell us about the work

Which jobs repeat, which material is sensitive, who needs access and what already lives on the office network.

2. See the working system

We walk through the features that fit, using approved sample material. We also show exactly which connections your configuration would use, and what each one carries.

3. Read the scope

The machine, workflows, privacy exceptions, acceptance checks, price and support terms go into writing before anybody commits.

Is this right for you?

When a machine of your own is worth it

It is worth a look when several people have regular work involving client files, long documents, recordings or repeated office tasks, and keeping the ordinary AI work on site matters.

LocallyAI supplies, configures and supports the machine so the office does not need to assemble or maintain an AI stack alone. If a must-have capability is not in your quote, ask us to scope and acceptance-test it before you sign.

Own the working system

Why businesses choose LocallyAI over ChatGPT or Claude.

LocallyAI gives businesses a working AI system they can identify, inspect and keep: supplied hardware, Harness software, tested workflows and a documented processing boundary.

Connections are quoted, not assumed

Each supported integration, permission boundary and acceptance test is written into the quote. It is not treated as delivered until it passes on the final machine.

Quoted automations run on the appliance

A morning brief, weekly digest or aged-debt list is included only when named in the quote and proven against agreed examples before handover.

Processing location is the difference

Hosted services require your business to rely on a provider’s infrastructure, terms, configuration and continuing service. LocallyAI keeps approved base workflows on your appliance; connected exceptions are documented and acceptance-tested.

A boundary your team can inspect

The standard workflow is local. Web research, integrations, remote support, updates and off-site backups are separate exceptions recorded in the quote and tested before handover.

Core work can continue offline

Local chat, approved document search and transcription can keep running when the connection drops. Web research and connected services cannot.

Built from scratch, for this

We did not rebrand a coding interface. The Harness is written for office workflows and fitted to the templates, letterhead and approved systems named in your quote.

The Harness is modular

Supported skills and MCP connections can be added without replacing the interface. Each requested module still needs a written scope and delivery test.

You can actually talk to us

We build the software, so a requested change can be discussed with the people who write it. Standard product improvements and business-specific work are separated in the written scope, including any cost.
