The short answer
A fitted LocallyAI system starts at $2,900 for one person doing dictation and drafting, $4,900 for one or two regular users, and runs to $17,500 for a firm with high memory needs or paired machines. Service is $600 a year. Extra staff cost nothing, because there are no seats.
Prices are in Australian dollars. Prices exclude GST; it is itemised on the quote. Hardware moves, so a written quote holds for 14 days.
What is inside the number
- The machine itself, specified for your actual workload rather than a showroom tier.
- The Harness, installed and configured against your files, your people and your industry.
- Local models, pulled and pinned, including transcription.
- HTTPS on your network, backups, health checks and handover.
It is a system, not a box with a login emailed to you afterwards.
Where it beats a subscription
A business AI seat runs about $75 per person per month. Five people is $4,500 a year, and $22,500 over five years — money that buys nothing you keep.
An Office-tier system is $7,900 up front and $600 a year, so $10,900 over the same five years. Add the eleventh staff member and the subscription bill grows; yours does not.
What it does not include
Custom integrations into your practice management system, ledger or document store are quoted separately, as are rebuilt letter templates and any off-site work. We would rather name those than bury them.
The honest test
A two-person, low-use subscription can show a smaller first-year cash figure, but it buys no machine and no local processing boundary. As headcount and routine document, meeting and drafting work grow, ownership avoids multiplying per-seat fees while keeping control on site.
